Santa Steve is a life long resident of Cobb County. He moved to the Smyrna-Marietta area in the early 1960's with his family. He is the oldest of 5 children and all were raised and educated in Cobb. Santa Steve graduated from Campbell High School in Smyrna. He later joined the Navy in the early 1970's and upon return began a career in law enforcement. He also graduated from Georgia State University with a B.A. in Sociology.

Santa Steve is married to his Mrs Claus, Vicky. They've been married for over 27 years and have raised 3 children. They now have 6 grandchildren and are partial to spoiling each and every one of them whenever they can.

Santa Steve retired from law enforcement in 2001 after a 27 year career. He still makes his home with Vicky in Cobb County and is a Volunteer with the Cobb County Community Emergency Response Team.
